Italian Sausage & Potato Soup the easy, fast Italian Sausage recipe ever

Italian Sausage with Potato soup

This is a falvor - packed and aromatic paleo entree soup 
I think you're going love from the very first steaming spoonful

Meaty and robust, one of those must-have cold-weather 
crushers that will warm you right up 

Plus : It's super-easy to make! spend just a few minutes peeling and chopping, 
and this one can go from stove top to soup bowl in about 30 min 

The Spicy sausage - I used a package of italian turkey that was on sale

There's a  little bacon in this one too just to add some savory
Smokey flavor and more depth to the soup

And the soup wouldn't be complete without some earthy 
goodness- this one includes chopped white sweet potatoes
carrots an spinach, all simmered to just the right tenderness


This is a flavorful and filling  soup meal the whole family will love. Try this easy, one-pot recipe!


There you have it - complete meal in your bowl, No need 
for sides. There's plenty of yummy to fill your tummy in this soup


By The Way , I added a little extra heat with some 
cayenne pepper. You Can Leave it out or add more- that's entirely
up to you . I used 1/2 TSP which upped the spiciness just
 enough for me


Milk Doesn't make soup thick - It's there to add just 
a little extra richness 


as far as the broth, you can use either organic chicken broth
or your own homemade chicken stock, either way the end result
will be a very savory and satisfying soup

Italian Sausage with Potato soup 


Makes about 8 Servings 



Ingredients 

I-  Ib ground hot Italian sausage

I- 4 Slices of uncooked bacon, chopped small

I-  1 Medium onion, diced

I- 3 Cloves of garlic, minced

I- 3 White sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 
about 1/2 pieces

 I- 1 Large carrot, sliced thin 

I- 1 tsp Italian seasoning 

I- 5 Cups chicken broth

I- 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk

I- 3 Cups chopped spinach 

I- 2 tbs chopped basil

I- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper ( adjust to your taste) I

I- salt & pepper to taste 

I- Olive Oil

Instructions 



 I- 1- In a large pot over medium heat, add the onion
 sausage and bacon plus 2 tbs of olive oil. Stir just 
until sausage is cooked through

I- 2- If you have a lot of fat in the pot
drain most of it leaving a little behind for flavor
______________________________________________

I- 3- Next add the potatoes, carrots, Italian seasoning
and salt and pepper to the same pot.
 Stir over medium heat to combine flavors for about 5 minutes

I- 4- Add chicken broth to the pot and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender
______________________________________________

I- 5- Add coconut milk, spinach and basil – simmer for 5 minutes
______________________________________________

I- 6- Finally stir in the cayenne – taste and add more if you want it spicier
______________________________________________

I- 7- Ladle into soup bowls and enjoy
